Decide to change your state.
You CAN choose your attitude and outlook. Decide to view the day as a beautiful rainy day rather than just a rainy day.
Do a random act of kindness.
Give a smile, spare change, or a helping hand to someone different every day. Getting outside of yourself gives you perspective on the situation at hand.
Remind yourself that you are right.
Make the best decision possible given the information you have and then let it go.
Stop worrying.
Worrying will not make the situation or decision better. Let it go!
Do something special just for you.
Indulge in that bubble bath or that massage; pampering is the best form of self-love.
Give yourself permission to feel sorry for yourself for 15 minutes, then go back to #1 above.
Allowing ourselves a pity party for a few minutes gets it out of your system. After all, we're only human.
Go for a walk, run, jog, or exercise.
Physical activity gets those endorphins flowing and creates a natural high. It's a great way to get out of a bad mood quickly.
Make a list of reasons why you're feeling badly.
Write down an action next to each one that you can take right now to correct each reason on your list. Putting feelings on paper gives you perspective on actions needed and/or unfounded emotions that you can let go. Writing things down helps us develop new ideas and thoughts that we may not otherwise come up with.
Keep a journal.
Journal writing is great for looking at where we have been, where we are, and where we are going. Writing is a great way to record your creative thoughts and dreams.
Take one goal, dream, or creative thought from your journal and decide to begin work on it TODAY!
There's no time like the present to begin that new project you've been putting off. Make sure this is something you REALLY want.
Yrs lovingly,
Adele
